We are sisters and best friends, with 5 grown kids between us. Both of us are professional women in our fifties, and Rose is married with 6 grandchildren. The one thing we both love to do is talk, and that's how our blog was started. Our favorite thing to do is relax with friends at the beach, and shop. Since we live in Illinois we can only enjoy the beach in the summer, so we find other things to keep us busy in the winter. Rose & Lily are the nicknames we gave eachother after a couple drinks and it stuck. We've been told we should take our comedy show on the road because we do a lot of laughing and really think we're funny! Since the kids are grown and all but one is married its finally all about us again.
You know what that means, facing the fact that we're aging! I looked in the mirror one day and wondered who that old women was staring back at me, she didn't look that old yesterday! I wasn't ready to jump in to Menopause, thinning hair, dry skin, sleepless nights, weight gain and wrinkles everywhere!
The makeup I used to put on sits in my wrinkles instead of hiding them. But hey, there are some goods things. No more worries about getting your period every month, and the lines on my face are proof of my life experiences.
